Well, we placed a small extension on a foundation today. It's only small, about 4' out by 12' long, and squares up the house. Speaking of square, none of the existing foundation was . It's old and in old foundation style, the end wall is tapered. Wider as you get closer to the ground. So we had some noodlin' to do to get it formed and carry the existing lines. Anyway, we braced the heck out of it and the sonof*gun moved Yep. It moved. We scrambled and got more braces in place and slowly continued. Finally we got it done. Whew! The whole moral to my story is the rain...my biggest peeve...the friggin' rain. We've had so much that the ground could not support our braces and stakes. We could see it break away from the stakes as the pressure grew from the pour. Maybe I shoulda put this in my weather rant?
