Sounds as if his masquerading parade is over, he has been exposed as the shyster he is, and you may need to take a number and stand in line with all the others he has robbed in one way or another. You should think about posting some sort of legal notice in your local newspaper, as to intent to seek material and labor lien against the guy... this will put the entire area on notice that doing any type of work for this sleaze is a risk (effectively removing his mask nd exposing him for what he is).

I'd love to yell it from the rooftops so that nobody else gets burned and so the scuzz can't get anyone to work for him. I'll need to find a legal and tactful way to do it. The last thing I need from this one job is more bad P.R. Folks could take it wrong and look at me as the bad guy if I'm not careful. This is a small area.

Finally got in contact with a buddy of mine...he owns an investigation, process serving kinda biz. ;D I told him the story that started this thread and he invited me down to his office tomorrow. He's gonna help me squeeze as much as I can legally get outta the jerk. He said he'll even help me with the paperwork and filing and then he'll serve the guy. He knows all of the right things for me to do and is gonna help me out. Cool huh? He doesn't even want his fee for doing it...I thought I was the only fella "giving" it away here! I can see a very attractive doorstep in his future (if he wants it).
