I have been using them for a year and a half and they seem to be fine for our purposes, though I intend to try to find one with at least a gallon tank. There is nothing like HVLP spray to fix a problem area. for some reason it works so much better on a problem than a pump up .

I have not had good luck with the pump sprayers myself, I have used them with the con res product. Maybe they would work for the acid stain products better. I might be wrong but for me I have had no sucess with the pump up and water based stains.

I was speaking of an HVLP gun with a gallon or two pressure pot. HVLP guns give such great effects with con res (which I believe to be Smiths with a different label). A gal + stain pot would just make it go so much faster. Having to refill every 75 or 100 sq ft is a bummer.

The refilling is absolutely a bummer! Do you find the larger pot heavy or difficult to handle? I guess not if you prefer it, huh? I had that suspicion about ConRes/Smith's myself.
