I met with my Sherwin Williams (H&C) rep today. The the nearest store is 100 miles west and I just got hooked up with them. He was actually personally delivering my first order...I like this guy! ;D Anyway, he also brought a sample gallon of their Loxon XP to me. It's a product which waterproofs in 2 coats and is specifically for vertical applications such as tilt-up buildings. It comes available in any color paint is available in...seems mighty nifty to me. It would be another market of possibilities, so I'm very interested. All I really know about it is what my guy has told me and what I've read in the info he gave me. Does anybody have any knowledge or experience with this stuff?

Are you saying it can be used on basement interior walls as a water profer that has color with 2 coats of it? It has to be clean bare crete,no painted surface? I would like to try it.

It's new to me so I'm certainly no expert, but as I understand it...it is acrylic based and can be applied over existing crylic paint provided that it's sound. I asked that question and also, in most cases, one coat in that situation is enough.
I opened that sample can...it's white and is so thick it looks like that marshmallow sundae topping. "Fluff" is it called?
I should also say that it doesn't cure flat (physically) like paint...there's some texture to it.

Most of the water proof coatings have to be on clean unpainted surfaces that I have delt with most people around here have painted their walls and then have problems and the only solution was to strip off all the paint which is not a fun or easy job. You can't cover latex with it?

Really not certain...I'll check into it. I'm gonna say yeah, though...he said that it would be great on exposed exterior foundation walls and I asked if I had to blast existing paint off and he said no. Anyway, I'll check it out.

I don't have any insight into the Loxon XP; however I do have when it comes to the Hey'D waterproofing products manufactured by Tamms www.tamms.com (have relied on the unsurpassed protective properties of this material for well over a decade). There are 3 versions/formulations of Hey'Di ... Hey' Di K-11, Hey' Di SB, and Hey'Di Powder X System. If you go to Tamms website (above), click on products, you will be able to access he technical data, solutions each formulation is capable of achieving, application guidelines, etc. Basically speaking the product seals and penetrates into the capillaries of concrete, brick, and block. Can be applied on the positive or negative side of: interior/exterior walls, on grade or below grade surfaces (such as basements or hillside walls of walk-outs), etc. Will withstand hydro-static pressure. Compatible with various overlayments, toppings, coatings, etc ... can also be used prior to placing carpet, laminate flooring, wall board, tile grouts, etc. which have the potential to break down, stain, or grow molds if the substrate (floor or walls) between them and the concrete is not adequately sealed to prevent water/moisture from getting to them. Suggest ya'll visit Tamms site and read the benefits associated with the use of this product. Lindy A.

Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had problems with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform. massandra.su/user/RobbieFreese5/Experiences and Theses With Many benefits Top-Quality Essay Composing and Edting Assistance. college admission essay writing service
