Welcome, I am new to the business and only have a couple of jobs under my belt. I hope the reason you came here to look is to have the camaraderie of others in this business. I realize some are wondering weather to join or not. I would like to express my gratitude to all who have helped answer questions in the past forum. This was very helpful to me and others and would like to see it continue here. So feel free to join in as some of us could use some help and share ideas with.

Trevor needs a big thanks for gettin this goin. I look forward to visiting more in the future. I have had to take a job to make ends meet and am no longer full time in concrete. My 1st year and a half were great I even stayed busythrough last winter though not profitably. The ecconomy just killed me, it seems like everyone is just settin on their wallet and I don't blame them.

The Crete Crusader is OK in my book too. Thanks Trev for providing us a place to discuss and share ideas with , that has some pretty simple rules. I am still new and really need the help and advice that is shared here. I would like to thank everyone that takes the time out of their busy schedule to answer and post questions, solutions, ideas and just plain thoughts about everyday life and being in the High Definition Concrete Biz.
Oh thanks Lindy I used your catchy phrase

Hang in there as things will come around, work your job and before you know it people will loosen up with the money and things will pick up. A lot of people are waiting to see who gets in the White House as they are uneasy ;D ;D

I tried tappin' out a message to you two but then realized that I don't know Morse Code. So this board came along...you know what they say "Necessity is the Mother of invention." Heh,heh. I'm not sure if that fits...maybe something about supply and demand? Members make a board like this and we're off to a great start. More will jump in. I hope that folks loosen their purse strings for ya soon "TFG" . There's a lot going on for the U.S. right now and I'll bet folks are a little nervous. Hang in there buddy!

Hang in there Kentucky!! That's just the times right now, I know how you feel I had to do that for a while myself and that lasted for about a month and things picked up for me. My schedule is sporadic but steady I guess. A lot more calls have been coming in the past two or three weeks. It's just not the same going back and working for someone when you have been on your own, it's tough but we do what we have to do to survive this economy right now.
