I realize that my location is gonna make my suppliers a bit different than most here for the most part.
The nearest Sherwin Williams store is 100 miles west of me and because of labels their H&C line has been unavailable to me until now. I went after the Head Office and they're "bending" some rules for me. It's a stupid label law anyway, but now I can get their stuff. We have a great rep...in fact he personally delivered my first order to me instead of using a courier. He is also the only rep/salesperson to GIVE me anything. On two occassions he GAVE me samples. To me that's good service.

Yeah, in a perfect world, right? Not all have given me this impression, but certainly some. Whatever happened to the good old days of free samples too? They don't even give out hats or tee shirts anymore...they're in the catalog so you can pay to advertise their products. That's not something I would ever do. Maybe I just need a reality check but suppliers should be helpful and supportive in my mind and if I have to stand behind their products shouldn't they?
