Hi guys! A few years ago I bought a flexible edge form for countertops and stuff like that...I need a couple more of this style and cannot seem to get a response from anyone. It's 8' long by 2" and the style is (was) called "Split Face Granite".
Anybody have a good source for these...or 1 or 2 that you'd sell?
For the record that original form of mine is still going strong...I just need more.

That seems like a good plan...you say you can get the 2" and the 4"? What are the prices? That's a cool offer too, thanx.

i would need to find an invoice...been a while since i bought them. i think they were around $70 for the 2" and 120 for the 4". dont hold me to that. the 2 pool houses i built on my site both have countertops using these forms, if you want to see them. or go here www.butterfieldcolor.com/products/form%20liners/form_liners.htm let me know if i can help.

Thanx for that link Rick! Those are exactly what I need...the corners, the bigger depth, the bullnose too! Awesome. I've been making my own rigid bullnose outta splittin' a piece of PVC...this is much better. It's damn difficult to get that sorta stuff here. Decorative concrete is so new...even stamping which they were doin' in Cali in the 50's for 'crete's sake! We're gonna hafta talk about this stuff. ;D

I took some time today (it's raining) and checked out that site in more detail. We've been "makin' hay while the sun shines" but I will be contacting them to find out about getting some of their products. Their products are what you use frequently/exclusively? Shipping will probably be the biggest cost concern...as usual. I liked a lot of what I saw, though.

well, i only use these for the odd customer or outdoor work. most indoor tops have just a pencil edge. i do like this product though.

For the countertops we had in our house before the fire I made the edge form. They were 2" thick and I used 2X4 with a 1/4 round moulding attached at the top of the profile. It made a really nice "colonial" or "cove" type of edge. Most of the others I've done have been what I call "straight" with a slight bevel on the edges...just enough to take away any sharpness. The split face edge is a little rustic for indoor work in most cases. I made a grill island for myself with that edge and once I can get set up (suppliers) I intend to push those. A lot of folks have seen it and asked about getting one.
