I kinda had the idea that was your angle Joe. You had talked before about moving and you are established...if I was ready to move I'd do the same. It makes sense; profit on the established biz and start elsewhere with new gear...win+win in my mind. (My mind can be a scarey place, though. :

I had to erase my previous comments, too many people were actually calling and asking if I was selling my business. Not to buy it, but showing concern. The post kind of started as a cage rattler to get people thinking about what their decorative concrete businesses might actually be worth. Of course, I would accept 215k for my business, but until I actually hire a brokerage firm to list my business I am not actually selling.

That's good to read Joe. I was one of those that were concerned. Hey, it ain't easy. I'm glad that you were just shakin' things up. There's an old rule of thumb here for figuring what price to put on an existing biz. You take your annual gross and multiply that by the number of years your non-competition clause is to be in effect.

$100,000.00 annual gross X 5 years non-comp = $500,000.00
Of course if there's real estate and/or expensive equipment involved that would also have to be considered.

In the very near future I will be looking for used or new P.Washer 4000psi, deck washer, mongoose, I will be looking on internet but, if anyone knows off hand where I can find good deals please post. Plus shark and baraccuda. Thanks.
