;D We're startin' to make some noise and attract attention here now. There are 2 natural stone guys here, 1 stamping guy and a few paver stone installers and within the last week they have all driven past my jobs sites multiple times and rubber neckin'. The stamp guy has been in biz for as long as I've been alive. He is very hard to deal with and very expensive...I have beaten him out of a couple of jobs recently ;D Anyway he must really want to know what I'm all about because yesterday my wife saw him drive by our house and gawk in. I live on a no exit street with 6 houses on it and he would have no reason to be here. He just went by slowly, gawking in, turned around at the end and left. AaaHaaaHaaa...I hope that they're gettin' nervous!

At least, it was a drive by and "gawk" not what is commonly called "drive bys" (as in shooting at). Next time you see him on your street, you should make it a point to run out, shake his hand/introducing yourself, and tell him that he must really be interested in your creativity, manner of application, and workmanship since you have seen him driving by your jobs and home numerous times. This will embarass him and let him know that you are not blind or oblivious to the fact that he is doing so. I find it very amusing to stun people like this; they usually are at a total loss for words

I'd love to do that...and would ;D I truly don't think that there's any embarrassing this guy, though. He's quite the piece of work...completely livin' in his own little fantasyland. First time I ever met him was in the local Michelin Tire plant in 1988. I was 20 years old, overseeing the first cleaning of the section of the plant where they batch their rubber and running a crew of over 100 people (at times). Michelin was getting ready for an inspection by the Ford Motor Company to secure a contract. Anyway, this joker comes up to me and was livid that we were in there working...it was "his" plant! The guy's a complete loony tune. I've witnessed and heard of several crazy things since then too. He was the only game in town for a long time...quite the piece of work.

Sounds like he is a legend in his own mind; not anybody elses though. These types of morons put themselves up on a pedestal, which they are doomed to fall off of; when they do fall, they blame everyone but themselves and usually crawl off somewhere never to be heard from again. Obviously he has never heard the old saying "it is better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought to be a fool, than open it and prove it."
